The booklet will be decorated and put together to give it to fathers on Friday.

Remember that in order to have the best year you need to follow the following instructions:
1. Be on time at all times.
2. Bring all your materials.
3. Read the Resource Room schedule as soon as you walk into the room.
4. Always greet teachers and students in the Resource Room.
Homework Procedures in the Resource Room
Reading
1. Practice reading your sight words and reading words everyday.
2. Read the little book you have been assigned everyday.
3. Answer the comprehension questions if assigned.
Spelling
1. Do your spelling homework of the day assigned.
2. Present your homework to teacher the next day.
3. Test every Friday.
Grammar
You will have Grammar homework only when necessary.
Writing
You will not have any writing assignments.
Math
1. Practice your table assigned.
2. You will have a time test the next day on the table you practiced.
3. Do your 10 problems of the current lesson assigned by your teacher.
4. show your homework the next day.
Remember we all want to be the Star of the Week!!!!!

Your work must be turned in to me Thursday, Jan. 28
Don't forget to label your assignment with name, date, title.

Spelling: see your notebook
Grammar: write a sentence with the verbs: did, does, says, said
Writing: continue writing your composition. Write at least 3 sentences.
Topic: The Tricky Crab
Reading: Practice your Reading and Sight words.
Read the little book and answer the comprehension questions on your notebook.

Reading: Practice your Reading and sight words. Read the little book, Puppy Tricks, then answer the comprehension questions at the end of the book.
Redo the Comprehension #2 of the story Dinosaurs Alive and Well.
Math: Practice the time tables 1, 2, 3, and 4. Remember this is a review for you.
Find 5 objects in your house. Measure them in inches and feet.

Grammar: Subject-Verb Agreement: Work on sheets #48 pasted on your notebook.

Writing: Continue writing your final draft of your last composition: Races
Reading: Finish answering the comprehension questions on your notebook of the selection, Hugger to the Rescue. Then, Read The Great White Hurricane book, chapter 3 and answer the comprehension questions given.

Writing: Continue working on your final draft. See your comments on your first draft. You should have at least 1 paragraph completed. Topic: Universal Studios.
4- B, # 25
Spelling: See your notebook
Grammar: Practice identifying verbs. Look for 5 verbs in the present and 5 in the past in the Reading little book. Then, write those verbs in the future.
Writing: Finish your paragraph form of your composition My Trip to Miami.
Reading: Read the little book. Then, answer the comprehension quetions at the end of the book.
Continue Reading Wolves and make a web for paragraphs 12, 13, 15 (Use the book we use in class)

Week of January 18-22
Dear Parents,
This week we will be having a Virtual School Drill. We will practice what would be like if we were having a real emergency. So, there will be an early dissmissal on Jan. 21. Students will be leaving school at 11:00 a.m. Students who attend the Resource Room after 11:00, will access my blog and do the work assigned for that period. Students must look for the grade, section and class number.

HOMEWORK PROCEDURES
1. Spelling: students have Spelling homework from Monday - Thursday and test on Friday. Each assignment is checked everyday.
2. Reading: students will continue taking a little book to read at home. This little book is acording to each child's Reading level and interests. After reading it, they are required to answer at least 5 comprehension questions written at the end of the book or given by the teacher. The next day, students will read the entire book or at least 3 pages to the teacher.
3. Grammar: Student will be given at least 2 assignments to practice the Grammar skill of the week.
4. Writing-Composition: Students will not take any writing assignment home. It will be done in class.
* Remember: students should do their homework alone. If child has difficulty, please send me a note.
